It isn't that trick, of course, but Aspen acknowledges that for all Ivy knows, it could be. As for why Aspen is shy about this, well, I can think of cartoons in which pets hate to be seen without collars or normally naked animals get embarrassed depending on the context. It does make her seem hypocritical for scoffing at humans' modesty.
