I haven't heard anyone use "Xerox" as a verb or a term for a photocopy in many years. I'm not even sure I've heard mention of the company in all that time. Guess it's fallen out of favor in my circles. Maybe the campaign against it going generic worked too well. But something like "the Canon sense" would be less obvious in meaning.

But then again, "the Canon sense" could have more than one meaning. :)
