Kody is looking at his phone. The last time I drew one was probably 15 years ago. Not only has my art shifted, but that model is now dated. If I have to show Kody's phone again, I'll say he upgraded within the last week.

I'd think it would look more out of place if you *didn't* draw him with a current-model phone. I don't know anyone who hasn't upgraded at least once in the last 15 years. Even my mother, whose age isn't worth mentioning (suffice to say she is nearly, but not quite, an octogenarian), has a new iPhone.
