Of all the fiction that comes to mind, none has animals more in awe of humanity than "Inherit the Earth." In the webcomic, a fox suggests that the (bygone) humans made the stars. There's also the book "Hunter's Moon," in which fox legend has it that humans created the sun and moon, but for nefarious purposes.
